Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of related experience, not-for-profit and/or governmental experience.
• Experience in grants management, financial accounting including account reconciliation, governmental accounting standards implementation, and/or accounts payable processing.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and client service focus.
• Ability to think critically and identify creative solutions.
• Effective time management and ability to prioritize multiple projects under tight deadlines.
• Independent, self-directed professional with strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to collaborate across functions and build trusted relationships.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and government accounting/grant management software; travel ~10–15%.

Aufgaben

• Performs operational, accounting, and consulting services for Tribal governments, including monthly closing, grants management, grant reporting, and financial reporting to key decision makers.
• Prepares polished deliverables for clients and ensures timely submission.
• Develops policies and procedures on key accounting matters.
• Collaborates with clients to understand practices, identify improvements, and help define updated policies.
• Performs project startup activities, adheres to schedules, and attends kickoff meetings.
• Coordinates with clients during the audit process and helps prepare for audits.
• Assists with growing the practice and reviews team work for accuracy.
• Serves as an integral member of the Business Consulting Services team.
• Occasionally travels to client locations, firm trainings, or industry conferences.
