Wilton Rancheria is seeking a Career and Workforce Counselor to provide comprehensive counseling, workforce development, employment preparation, and pathway guidance to Tribal Citizens and eligible participants in California.

The role involves assessing needs, developing individualized career plans, coordinating education and training resources, and maintaining confidential case records while collaborating with tribal departments and local partners to promote employment outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in career counseling, workforce development, education, counseling, human services, business, social work, or a related field.
• Experience in career counseling, workforce development, or related services.
• Ability to manage multiple participant caseloads and maintain confidential records.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized career counseling and guidance to Tribal Citizens and eligible participants.
• Assess career interests, strengths, goals, and education/training needs.
• Develop and monitor individualized career action plans.
• Coordinate referrals to education, training, and employment resources.
• Assist with resumes, applications, interviews, and job-search strategies.
• Prepare participants for interviews and workplace expectations.
• Identify opportunities for internships, apprenticeships, and employment.
• Maintain confidential participant records and program data.
