Job summary

Bear River Band of the Rohnerville Rancheria in Loleta, CA seeks an ICWA Social Worker to provide community-based, trauma-informed services to Tribal members.

The role includes case management, crisis response, educational advocacy, group facilitation, and coordinating connections to local resources, with a focus on ongoing support within the Child Welfare System. This is a full-time position in the Social Services Department with an emphasis on culturally appropriate care.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field.
• Two years ICWA experience.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and be insurable.
• CPR & First Aid within 3 months of hire; Mandated Reporter training within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Support Tribal members in accessing services and problem solving across medical, mental health, educational and social needs.
• Collaborate across systems of care to address trauma, loss, substance abuse and domestic violence.
• Respond to crisis situations and maintain case records.
• Attend all meetings with Tribal families and provide education advocacy.
• Develop and facilitate groups and programming for the community.
