Job summary

Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians seeks a Benefits Eligibility Specialist to identify tribal members for alternate resources and guide them through enrollment. Qualifications

• Associate's degree in business administration, social work, health administration or related field.
• Experience with Medicare Part A, B & D, Medicaid, SSI, VA, and other medical billing.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and RPMS system.

Responsibilities

• Identify alternate resources for tribal members and assist with enrollment.
• Coordinate with local/state agencies to verify eligibility and resources.
• Review and determine eligibility for Medicare, Medicaid, VA, and other programs.
• Maintain up-to-date enrollment materials and provide outreach to Elders.
• Serve as liaison to health providers for benefit-related questions and referrals.
