Rutter Mills LLP, a leading personal injury law firm in Hampton Roads, is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to support trial attorneys through every stage of the litigation process.

Based in Hampton, Virginia, this full-time, on-site role involves managing personal injury files from litigation through trial, coordinating with attorneys, clients, and medical providers to move cases efficiently while meeting all procedural requirements under state law.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Virginia personal injury litigation experience.
• General District Court and Circuit Court experience required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Draft, prepare, and file pleadings, motions, and discovery requests and responses.
• Manage case files, litigation calendars, and critical deadlines, including statutes of limitations.
• Review medical records, billing documentation, and lien information, and assist with negotiating lien reductions as part of the case resolution process.
• Coordinate depositions, mediations, and settlement packages.
• Support trial preparation, including exhibits, witness coordination, and courtroom logistics.
• Communicate professionally with clients, courts, medical providers, and opposing counsel.
• Ensure compliance with Virginia court rules, civil procedure, and e-filing requirements.
