Cokinos | Young seeks an experienced Trial & Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal in Houston, TX. The role centers on trial preparation, in-person trial attendance, and hands‑on support of the trial team, with emphasis on personal injury matters.

The ideal candidate has 8–10 years of litigation/paralegal experience, strong organizational and communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and litigation software. Construction and complex litigation experience are valued.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of litigation/trial paralegal experience required.
• Significant experience supporting personal injury litigation or trial-focused matters preferred.
• Trial and deposition preparation experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience independently managing cases from inception through trial.
• Strong knowledge of Texas state and federal court procedures, filing requirements, and deadlines.
• Experience with medical records, damages documentation, liability issues, expert witnesses, and discovery is highly desirable.
• Paralegal certificate or ABA‑approved education preferred; Notary Public certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive trial paralegal support through the litigation process from case receipt to post‑trial proceedings.
• Support attorneys handling personal injury and complex litigation matters including catastrophic injury cases.
• Assist with trial preparation, organize exhibits, prepare witness materials, and coordinate logistics.
• Assist with depositions, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
• Prepare, edit, and proofread motions, discovery, subpoenas, petitions, notices, and other documents.
