Job summary

State Farm seeks a Trial Attorney for its Los Angeles Claim Litigation Office in Glendale, CA. You will own cases, develop trial strategies, and manage litigation from start to finish in a collaborative, non-hourly environment.

The role requires a California license in good standing, at least 3 years of relevant litigation experience (insurance defense, medical malpractice, personal injury, or workers’ compensation), and strong writing and oral advocacy skills. Hybrid work arrangement.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant litigation experience, preferably in insurance defense, medical malpractice, personal injury, or workers’ compensation.
• Recent trial experience handling complex cases involving trials with significant exposure.
• Experience trying cases in the first or second chair is highly preferred

Responsibilities

• Manage litigation and other legal assignments in alignment with guidelines set by the Law Department
• Prepare and summarize reports related to legal proceedings
• Develop trial strategies and manage case progress through litigation phases
• Attend and actively participate in litigation events, including trials, mediations, depositions, and hearings
