Job summary

State Farm seeks a Trial Attorney for the Los Angeles Claim Litigation Office. You will own cases, develop strategies, and engage with clients in a dynamic environment. The role emphasizes litigating complex matters, with ownership of files and collaborative support from staff.

Candidates must have a California law license and strong experience in court proceedings, mediations, and depositions. The position offers hybrid work arrangements and attractive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant litigation experience, preferably in insurance defense, medical malpractice, personal injury, or workers’ compensation.
• Recent trial experience handling complex cases involving trials with significant exposure beyond bench trials.
• Experience trying cases in the first or second chair is highly preferred

Responsibilities

• Manage litigation and other legal assignments in alignment with guidelines set by the Law Department
• Prepare and summarize reports related to legal proceedings
• Develop trial strategies and manage case progress through litigation phases
• Attend and actively participate in litigation events, including trials, mediations, depositions, and hearings
