Job summary

The Law Offices of Kanner and Pintaluga PA in Coral Gables, FL is seeking a Trial Attorney to join our litigation team. The attorney will meet with clients, assess cases, and work to secure favorable outcomes.

Responsibility includes updating clients and coordinating with insurers, with duties extending to trial preparation and courtroom advocacy as needed. Ideal candidates have a JD from an accredited law school, 2+ years of litigation experience, and are in good standing with the Florida Bar.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• 2+ years of litigation experience.
• Jury trials as first chair preferred; 2nd chair required.
• Member of the Florida Bar in good standing.
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to discuss their case and build trust and rapport.
• Update clients and communicate with insurance companies regarding status of claims, demands and offers.
• Prepare cases for trial and try the case if needed.
• Contribute to achieving the best possible outcome for clients.

POSITION SUMMARY:

In this role, you will see that our clients receive the best care and obtain excellent results. Attorneys are expected to meet with clients to discuss their case, show compassion and empathy, and demonstrate an ability to earn their trust, confidence, and respect. They will also update clients and communicate with insurance companies from time to time regarding the status of claims, demands, and offers. In addition, the Attorney should be able to prepare the case for trial and try the case if needed.

REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS:

• Full-time
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
• 2 or more years of litigation experience
• Jury trials as first chair preferred
• Jury trials as 2nd chair required
• Member of the Florida Bar and in good standing
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
• Experience in knowing how to evaluate claims, etc.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Have a proactive approach to problem-solving
• Ability to work independently in an office environment
• Team-oriented
