Job summary

Acton Medical Associates, part of the Optum family, seeks an Internal Medicine Triage Nurse to provide comprehensive patient care. On-site, full-time role supporting AMA-PC operations; you'll triage by phone, assess concerns, and coordinate timely visits with physicians.

Qualifications

• Graduate of approved nursing school.
• Current CPR certification.
• Knowledge of ambulatory care nursing for adult and/or pediatric illnesses.
• Experience using EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Works full time, on site, to support the clinical operations of AMA-PC.
• Triages patients over the telephone, assesses concerns, and coordinates timely visits.
• Teaches patients and families about diagnosis, treatment, medications and diet.
• Completes all required paperwork and documents care in appropriate locations.
• Uses the EMR to document patient care and communicate with staff and providers.
• Refills prescriptions adhering to safety and medical knowledge.
• Acts as preceptor for new staff and students.
