Job summary

Acton Medical Associates, part of the Optum family, seeks a Pediatric Triage Nurse to support on-site clinical operations. You will use the nursing process to assess patient needs and implement care plans for all scheduled shifts, ensuring smooth flow of patients through the unit.

Responsibilities include telephone triage, patient and family education on diagnosis, treatment, medications, and diet, plus EMR documentation and interdepartmental coordination.

Qualifications

• Graduate of approved nursing school.
• Current CPR certification.
• BCLS and ambulatory care nursing knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Provide full-time, on-site pediatric triage nursing care.
• Triages patients by telephone; assess concerns and coordinate visits.
• Educate patients and families on diagnosis, treatment, and medications.
• Document care and coordinate with other departments; maintain patient flow.
• Act as preceptor and stay current with procedures and policies.
