Job summary

Riverside Community Care in Milford, MA, is seeking a Triage Clinician for the Mobile Crisis Intervention (MCI) team on weekends. The role supports crisis assessment, intervention, and post-stabilization within a multi-disciplinary group.

Part-time, 20 hours, Saturday/Sunday 7am–5pm. Unlicensed clinicians and those with independent licensure receive hourly rates with shift differentials for evenings, overnights, and weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work, psychology, or related clinical degree providing path to independent licensure (LICSW/LMHC/LMFT).
• Two years’ experience in mental health preferred.
• Experience with children, adolescents and families preferred.
• Knowledge of substance use and co-occurring disorders preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for the MCI program.
• Provide telephonic crisis support, triage, and coordination of timely response.
• Arrange placements in detox/inpatient/diversionary levels of care and coordinate transfers.
• Provide on-site and community-based clinical interventions as needed.

The Mobile Crisis Intervention (MCI) program provides crisis and behavioral health assessment, intervention, and stabilization services 24 hours per day, seven days per week, and 365 days per year (24/7/365) for individuals who are experiencing a behavioral health crisis. The mission of MCI is to respond rapidly, assess effectively, and deliver a course of treatment intended to promote recovery, ensure safety, and stabilize the crisis in a manner that allows the person served to receive medically necessary services in the community, or if medically necessary, in an inpatient or 24-hour diversionary level of care.

The Triage Clinician – MCI works as a member of a multi-disciplinary team that includes physicians, nurses, behavioral health clinicians, certified peer specialists, family partners and recovery coaches, to provide core services including crisis assessment, intervention, stabilization, and post-stabilization.

This role plays an integral role in the daily operations of the Community Behavioral Health Center’s (CBHC) Mobile Crisis Intervention (MCI) component.

The Triage Clinician – MCI

• serves as the primary point of contact for the MCI program
• provides telephonic crisis support, screening, triage, and coordination of timely, appropriate response
• secures placements in detox units, inpatient units and diversionary levels of care and coordinates the transfer of persons served to accepting facilities
• provides direct clinical intervention services (including evaluation, stabilization, referral and follow-up) on-site and in the community as needed

The Clinician, Triage - MCI should be able to work under pressure in a fast paced, ever changing office environment while collaborating and liaising with a variety of stakeholders and providers.

Schedule

Part Time, 20 hours

• Saturday/Sunday: 7am to 5pm

Pay Rate

• Unlicensed Clinician - $36.7703/hr
• Independent Licensure - $39.3975/hr
• Stacking differentials available too! Additional hourly rate of $1 for 2nd shift - evenings, $2 for 3rd shift - overnights, and $1 for weekend shifts.

Required Skills

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skill
• Intermediate computer fluency, including Microsoft Office
• Valid driver’s license, safe driving record, and regular access to a reliable vehicle

Required Experience

• Master's degree in social work, psychology, or other related clinical human service degree that provides path to independent licensure (LICSW/LMHC/LMFT)
• Two years’ experience in the field of mental health preferred
• At least one year of experience working with children, adolescents and families is preferred
• Knowledge of and experience with substance use and co-occurring disorders preferred
