Job summary

Wayve is seeking a Triage Automation Engineer to scale our Triage and Detective workflows through automation, tooling, and process improvements. You will partner with Triage Specialists and Detective Engineers to turn repetitive analysis into reliable automated solutions, including triage bots and behavioural classifiers, reducing manual load across test and on-road fleets.

This highly collaborative role directly impacts safety and efficiency of Wayve's development pipeline.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience with complex systems, ideally in robotics or autonomous vehicles.
Strong scripting and analytical skills (Python, SQL, Bash/Shell).
Hands-on experience operating in a remote Linux environment.
Experience building or maintaining data pipelines or notebooks (Databricks, Jupyter).
Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Experience using Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket/GitLab.

Responsibilities

Document and measure existing triage and detective workflows to identify automation opportunities.
Prioritise improvements based on cost, benefit, impact, and feasibility.
Integrate scripts and tools into scalable, productised workflows with Detective Engineers.
Collaborate with development, ML, and AI teams to deliver tooling improvements.
Build automation pipelines (triage bots, classifiers) to reduce manual workload.
Validate automation changes and outputs for accuracy and reliability.
Document new automations and their usage, limitations, and outputs.
Measure triage quality and throughput to track automation impact.
Coordinate with senior management to shape the automation roadmap.
