Job summary

Behavioral Health Solutions is seeking an Advanced Psychiatric Practitioner (PMHNP, PA-C) to serve geriatric patients in SNF/long-term care settings across Washington. Expect a base salary with incentives and a robust benefits package.

Responsibilities include face-to-face psychiatric care, mental-status assessment, DSM-V diagnoses, and treatment planning in Skilled Nursing Facilities, with collaboration with psychiatrists. WA licensure and DEA are required.

Qualifications

• Licensed in Washington by the Board of Nursing in good standing with a focus in psychiatry.
• Licensed by the Washington Board of Pharmacy in good standing to prescribe controlled substances (DEA).
• 1 year of Geri Psych Experience.
• 1 year providing treatment within Skilled Nursing Facilities and/or Acute Rehab Hospitals.

Responsibilities

• Provide face-to-face psychiatric services to patients directly in Skilled Nursing Facilities.
• Assess the patient’s mental status based on symptoms.
• Appropriately diagnose DSM-V disorders and develop treatment plans.
• Apply appropriate medical decision-making skills for mental health issues including psychopharmacology options and non-pharmacological treatments.
• Staff clinical cases with psychiatrists.
