Job summary

Terracon is seeking a Professional Engineer to lead underground and trenchless infrastructure projects across multiple Midwest offices, including Cedar Falls. You will guide teams from planning through construction, providing design support and technical leadership for utilities, pipelines, and drainage systems.

Expect hands-on field involvement, mentorship of staff, and collaboration with stakeholders to ensure quality, safety, and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Geotechnical, or Geological Engineering.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Experience in trenchless and subsurface infrastructure projects.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proficiency with engineering software; CAD or MicroStation desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor engineers on medium to large projects.
• Oversee field investigations and laboratory testing programs.
• Perform trenchless analyses and develop design recommendations.
• Prepare technical reports, drawings, and specifications.
• Collaborate with project managers on proposals and budgeting.
