Job summary

Terracon is seeking a Professional Engineer to lead and mentor teams on complex subsurface infrastructure projects across the Midwest. You will guide field investigations, trenchless analyses, and design recommendations while collaborating with project managers and clients.

You will be empowered to shape projects from planning through construction, with emphasis on safety, quality, and practical solutions that protect communities and critical facilities.

Qualifications

• Requires a B.S. in Civil/Geotechnical/Geological Eng. (Master's preferred).
• Active PE license required.
• Experience with trenchless and subsurface infrastructure projects preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead medium to large subsurface projects and mentor technical staff.
• Plan and oversee field investigations and laboratory testing.
• Perform trenchless engineering analyses and develop design recommendations.
• Prepare technical reports, drawings, and project specifications.
• Support proposals, cost estimating, and project tracking with PMs.
• Ensure safety and quality across project activities.
