Job summary

Wintergreen Resort is seeking a Treehouse Program Assistant to support daily operations for the Treehouse Children’s program. You will help with morning registration, snack and lunch transitions, and maintaining a clean, safe environment for children and instructors.

The role requires knowledge of childcare settings, strong customer service, and the ability to collaborate with ski instructors and management.

Qualifications

• Should be knowledgeable and experienced in the many aspects childcare settings.
• Supervisory skills, motivational skills and leadership qualities are important.
• Must be able to manage multiple tasks and personalities and have outstanding customer service skills.
• Must work closely with the ski instructors, management team, desk staff, guests/parents of the program and other supporting operating areas.

Job description

SUMMARY: This position has a dual reporting structure to both the Snowsports School Director or the Children’s Program Manager and Treehouse Supervisors and assists with the daily routine and flow of the Treehouse Children’s programs. Main duties will include assisting with morning registration and afternoon pick up, snack and lunch transitions between children and instructors, snack and lunch operations, proper stock of paper products for business levels, keeping the Treehouse building clean during operational hours, and assist with upset children or bathroom breaks.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESWorks closely with program supervisors and work diligently on pre-planning based on reservations and coordinate the in and out traffic of the program on operating days, to include signing in the guest, equipment issuance, prepping building for all snack and lunch periods, checking out guests and readying the facility for the next day.Inventories, hot chocolate and paper supplies for the purpose of ensuring availability of items required for meeting projected menu requirements.Cleans counters, tables, utensils, equipment, and storage, food preparation and serving areas for the purpose of maintaining required sanitary conditions.Knowledge of allergy and dietary restrictions extremely important.Assist administrative staff and instructors on preparatory work for following days; ensuring all name tags, vests and equipment are labeled and ready.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Should be knowledgeable and experienced in the many aspects childcare settings.Supervisory skills, motivational skills and leadership qualities are important.Must be able to manage multiple tasks and personalities and have outstanding customer service skills.Must work closely with the ski instructors, management team, desk staff, guests/parents of the program and other supporting operating areas to include equipment rental department, ski patrol, etc.PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT:Must be able to tolerate long hours on the job.Must be able to lift 30+ pounds, and be able to stand for long periods.Must be able to walk outside in winter conditionsBENEFITS OF WORKING AT WINTERGREEN:Wintergreen Resort is a place for mountain lovers, adventure seekers and outdoor explorers.
