Job summary

Wintergreen Resort in Virginia is seeking a friendly Ski Guest Services Attendant to greet guests, answer queries, issue season passes, quad packs, and tickets, and balance the cash drawer. The role requires excellent communication, a courteous demeanor, and the ability to handle payments and front-desk tasks with accuracy.

You will respond to guest needs by email, phone, or in person, assist with lift ticket and rental sales as needed, and support the Cashier’s Office.

SUMMARY: Located in the Ski Services and Group Sales Office, the Ski Guest Services Attendant is responsible for stellar customer service regarding winter activities in the Ski Department. Daily tasks include face-to-face customer interactions, as well as by email and over the phone, season pass product issuing, special program sales and queries, and balancing the cash drawer. This position will also assist the Cashier’s Office from time to time with lift ticket and rental sales, and ticket redemption. Position will begin early November and ends Late March. *A year-round full-time position may be available based on job performance and other departmental needs.PRIMARY RESOINSIBILITYGreets guests and members in a friendly, professional manner.Consults with guests/members with a focus on providing exceptional customer service and resolving their needs.Represents Wintergreen Resort in a positive, friendly and professional manner.Fields and manages in-person and on-phone interactions following proper protocol.Adheres to Wintergreen policies when processing or issuing Season Passes, Quad Packs, Buddy Tickets and any other ski products sold by Wintergreen Resort.Addresses Special Program queries and sales.Ensures all communications are responded to correctly and in a timely manner.Balances the cash drawer.Ensures 100% accuracy when processing financial transactions.Assists the Cashier’s Office from time to time with lift ticket and rental sales and ticket redemption.Adheres to department uniform and grooming standards.Reports to work on-time for all scheduled shiftsFollows all written rules required in the Wintergreen Employee Handbook and individual departments.Takes on additional duties and tasks as may be assigned.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Provide superior guest service.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong interpersonal skills and customer relationship experience.Offer effective solutions for guest issues based on own discretion.Proficient with Microsoft Office / Technical computer savviness.Prior knowledge of or experience with Siriusware preferred.Able to work evenings, weekends and holidays.Prior work experience in an office setting preferred.Prior knowledge of or experience in ski or resort industries is a plus.Education, Training and Experience Guidelines:High school diploma OR GED.PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT:Generally, positioned in an office environmentThis position involves sitting and/or standing for extended periods of timeThe ability to lift up to 30 poundsThe constant use of computers and telephonesThis position requires the ability to read, write and perform mathematical functionsMust be able to walk outside in winter conditionsBENEFITS OF WORKING AT WINTERGREEN:Wintergreen Resort is a place for mountain lovers, adventure seekers and outdoor explorers.
