Job summary

City of Seguin is seeking a Service Worker- Tree Trimming to support the tree care crew. The role includes climbing, ground duties, and operating equipment in the field.

Requirements include two years in landscape or tree maintenance, a Texas Class B CDL, CPR certification, and strong safety awareness. Candidates must be able to lift and work in outdoor conditions as part of a team performing pruning and rigging tasks.

Qualifications

• High school graduation or equivalent.
• Two years of landscape or tree maintenance experience preferred.
• State of Texas Class B (commercial) driver's license required.
• CPR certification and safety training expected.

Responsibilities

• Assist pruning, takedowns, cabling and bracing tasks.
• Safely operate chainsaw, chipper, trucks and hand tools.
• Identify native and introduced trees and shrubs in the area served.
• Follow safety rules and use protective equipment at all times.
• Learn techniques to assist in plant health care treatments.
