Job summary

Wright Tree Service in Minnesota is hiring a Tree Trimmer. The role is hourly, non-exempt, with weekly pay and union benefits. The Tree Trimmer will prune and remove trees near power lines, using climbing gear and a range of equipment, while maintaining safety and tree health.

Responsibilities include loads, trimming, felling, rigging, and on-ground work, with potential overtime and on-the-job training. High attention to safety and OSHA standards is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 months experience on tree trimming or clearing crews.
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.
• Must have First-Aid and CPR cards or ability to obtain within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Loads vehicles and equipment with limbs and logs.
• Trims, removes and/or fells trees using climbing equipment and tools.
• Works aloft to cut branches and lower them safely to the ground.
• Fells trees or spars and splits them into pieces.
• Operates ground tools like hand saws and pruners.
• Maintains safety around energized power lines and follows OSHA rules.
• Performs routine vehicle and equipment inspections and maintenance.
• Cooperates with property owners and emergency personnel as needed.
• Reports maintenance needs to foreperson and supports safety culture.
