Job summary

Wright Tree Service is hiring a Tree Trimmer in Minnesota. The role involves pruning and removing trees near power lines to reduce vegetation interference.

You will operate a range of equipment, from hand tools to climbing lifts, ensuring tree health and appearance while adhering to safety standards. Ideal candidates have basic arboriculture knowledge, familiarity with ANSI standards, and the ability to work long hours, including overtime during emergencies.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of trees, anatomy and arboricultural techniques near energized conductors.
• Understanding of ANSI Z133.1 and ANSI A300 standards.
• Ability to follow safety requirements and coach others.

Responsibilities

• Load vehicles and equipment with limbs and logs.
• Trim, remove and/or fell trees using climbing equipment and powered tools.
• Work on the ground with hand saws and pruners.
• Work aloft using rigging lines to lower branches.
• Operate safely near energized lines and follow supervisor instructions.
• Provide supervision of non-qualified employees when qualified.
• Apply herbicide and growth regulators and maintain records.
