Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC in Sergeant Bluff, IA seeks a Trimmer Trainee to join our field crew. This entry-level position offers hands-on training, a full-time schedule, and a competitive hourly wage. You will trim trees, operate equipment, and assist in keeping sites safe and organized.

Responsibilities include loading trucks, feeding debris into chippers, and maintaining tools. Candidates should be able to work at heights and under varying weather conditions with good coordination.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to work with hands above head for extended periods.
• Must be able to walk, climb and work from ladders, on uneven surfaces.
• No fear of heights.
• Good hand-to-eye coordination.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Entry-level position, no experience required.
• Pre-employment drug screen/background/MVR check may be required.
• Driver's license preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Trims and/or removes trees, branches, trunk sections.
• Operate and service all required tools/equipment.
• Cuts and splits large debris into manageable pieces.
• Loads/unloads trucks.
• Feeds brush and debris into a woodchipper.
• Relays hand signals and directs traffic as assigned.
• Maintains good housekeeping on trucks and work locations.
• Safeguards employees and the public from hazards.
