Job summary

Lewis Tree Service is hiring a Trimmer to support utility vegetation management and line clearing operations for utility companies and other clients. You will perform ground and elevated pruning, operate chainsaws and related gear, and assist with site setup and safety procedures.

The role emphasizes safety, training, and potential travel, with eligibility for CDL/medical certification and CPR/First Aid provided by Lewis.

Qualifications

• 12 months of experience on tree crews as a Trimmer Trainee.
• Basic knowledge of tree species and pruning techniques.
• Ability to work at heights and use climbing gear or aerial lifts.
• Trimmer Knowledge Certification or ability to obtain it.
• Valid driver's license and CDL where required.

Responsibilities

• Ground-level and elevated pruning, felling, and vegetation removal to maintain clearance around lines.
• Operate chainsaws, chippers, and associated equipment with proper rigging.
• Assist with job-site setup, safety, and cleanup; support climbers and communicate hazards.
• Travel for work, including potential overnight stays.
