The City of Norfolk's Department of Recreation, Parks and Open Space is seeking a Tree Trimmer II to perform skilled arboriculture on streets, parks, and City trees. The position reports to a Forestry Crew Leader and may operate rope and saddle, bucket truck, and chipper while leading a crew in the Leader's absence.

Two years of professional tree care experience and a CDL Driver's License within six months are preferred; ISA certification is a plus.

Qualificações

• Two years of professional tree care experience required.
• One year or equivalent supervision experience preferred.
• CDL Driver's License within six months of employment.
• ISA Certified tree worker preferred.
• CPR/First Aid Certification preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Climbs, trims, prunes, removes, and sprays trees safely as directed.
• Cleans the work area by raking, sweeping, and using a blower.
• Operates and maintains vehicles and equipment such as chainsaws and loaders.
• Leads crew in the absence of Crew Leader by delegating work and logging daily reports.
• Responds to emergencies by remaining on call during severe weather and clearing debris.
