Job summary

Truetimber Arborists is seeking a experienced Crew Leader to oversee a general tree work crew in the field. This hands-on leadership role demands outdoor work, team leadership, and ensuring safety and high-quality tree care.

The position offers relocation assistance up to $2,000 for candidates moving to Yorktown, VA area, and competitive pay with opportunities for 40+ hours per week. Health, dental, vision, and retirement benefits are provided. CDL-B and ISA credentials are a plus.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years in a leadership role within tree care.
Hands-on tree climbing, rigging, pruning, removal experience.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise tree care crew to ensure productivity and safety.
Plan daily tasks, allocate resources, delegate responsibilities.
Operate and manage equipment including chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts, and cranes.
Climb and perform tree work to support crew production and deadlines.
Run on-site safety meetings and enforce OSHA regulations.
Maintain equipment and job site cleanliness and security.
Communicate with clients and crew to ensure satisfaction.
Complete job paperwork and site assessments accurately.
