Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC seeks a dedicated Trimmer/Climber for Union shop, full-time, based in New York. You will trim and reshape trees to clear powerlines, operate equipment, and assist with debris management in all weather conditions. A valid driver’s license is required and pre-employment checks apply.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• No fear of heights and the ability to work at elevations.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination for precise tool use.
• Ability to walk, climb, and work from ladders at various heights.
• Willingness to join the local union and pay dues.
• Entry-level position; high school diploma preferred; prior tree work a plus.

Responsibilities

• Trims and removes trees, branches, and trunk sections.
• Operates and maintains tools and equipment used on site.
• Cuts and splits large debris into manageable pieces.
• Prevents further growth by spraying areas as required.
• Loads and unloads trucks and feeds debris into woodchipper.
• Assists in training new employees and inspects equipment.
