Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC is seeking a Trimmer/Climber to trim, tops, and reshape trees to provide clearance for utility powerlines. This full-time, non-exempt role involves operating tools, loading debris, and maintaining safe work zones.

The position requires climbing, physical stamina, and a commitment to safety; DOT drug-free workplace is observed and union participation may be required. Training is provided.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• No fear of heights.
• Able to walk, climb and work from ladders at varying heights.
• Willing to join local union and pay dues.
• Driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Trim and remove trees, branches, and trunk sections.
• Operate and service required tools/equipment.
• Load/unload trucks and feed debris into chipper.
• Maintain safe work area and protect others from hazards.
• Assist training new employees and supervise others as needed.
• Follow signals, direct traffic, and coordinate with customers.
