Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC is hiring a Trimmer/Climber in Ohio. This full-time, non-exempt role offers hourly pay and requires climbing and heavy outdoor work. You will trim and remove trees, operate and maintain equipment, load materials, and assist in maintaining safe work zones.

The job emphasizes safety, teamwork, and readiness for weather conditions. Minimum qualifications include being 18+, able to work overhead, climb ladders, and demonstrated hand-eye coordination.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to work with hands above head for extended periods.
• Must be able to walk, climb, and work from ladders at various heights on uneven surfaces.
• No fear of heights; good hand-to-eye coordination.

Responsibilities

• Trims and/or removes trees, branches, trunk sections.
• Operate and service all required tools/equipment.
• Cuts and splits large debris into manageable pieces.
• Sprays areas with equipment to prevent growth.
• Loads/unloads trucks and feeds brush into a woodchipper.
• Repairs minor damage to lawns, fences, and walkways.
• Safeguards employees and the public from hazards in the work area.
• Sets up barriers, warning signs, flags, markers to protect employees/public.
