Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC is seeking a Trimmer/Climber (CDL required) to trim, tops, and reshape trees to provide clearance for utility powerlines. The role requires operating equipment, lifting, and working at various heights in challenging weather conditions.

This full-time, non-exempt position offers benefits varying by tenure and location, with an hourly pay structure. CDL is mandatory, and travel is expected several days per week. Training and safety protocols are emphasized in this role.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• No fear of heights.
• Excellent hand-to-eye coordination.
• Able to walk, climb, and work from ladders, various heights, on uneven and slippery surfaces, performing mentally/physically demanding work under unfavorable weather conditions while handling equipment or material.
• Able to work with hands above head for extended periods of time.
• MUST BE WILLING TO TRAVEL- 3 days a week. Periodically.
• Commercial Driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Trim and/or remove trees, branches, trunk sections.
• Operate and service all required tools/equipment.
• Load/unload trucks.
• Feed brush & debris into woodchipper.
• Maintain good housekeeping on trucks and work locations.
• Safeguard employees and public from hazards in the work area.
• Set up barriers, warning signs, flags, markers, etc. to protect employees and public.
• Assist training new employees.
