Job summary

Wright Tree Service in Bemidji, MN is seeking a Crew Leader to coach the crew toward production goals with a strong emphasis on safety and efficient task allocation on job sites. You will identify hazards, coordinate with property owners, and lead routine and emergency operations under the General Foreperson’s guidance.

The role requires working with herbicide applications, climbing gear, and various hand and power tools, while ensuring OSHA and ANSI standards are upheld.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience on tree trimming/clearing crews.
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
• Valid First-Aid and CPR cards or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license and DOT medical card as required.
• Ability to work long hours/overtime, including holidays and emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Lead crew; allocate tasks and prioritize work.
• Coach on safety and OSHA regulations and company policies.
• Operate herbicide equipment and maintain application records.
• Coordinate with customers and property owners to gain access and explain work.
• Inspect work area for hazards and ensure safe operations.
• Set up traffic controls and maintain clean, orderly job sites.
• Travel to emergencies or storm work as required.
