DJ's Landscape Management in Grand Rapids, MI is hiring a Tree Care Crew Member to prune, fell, install and care for trees on client properties. You will use arborist equipment, follow ANSI A300 standards and ISA Best Practices, and transition to snow removal in winter. A valid US driver's license is required; CDL training provided.

In this active role, you will use arborist equipment to improvethe appearance, health, and overall value of the trees on our clients' properties. Requirements

• Adhere to all safety rules and company safety policies
• Follow written or verbal instructions of the crew leader, supervisor and company leadership
• Operate equipment, such as chain saws, pole saws, hand tools, brush chippers, stump grinders, skid steers, and other equipment and tools necessary to provide best tree health care.
• Utilize professional arboriculture techniques following ANSI A300 standards and ISA Best Practices
• Perform other tasks as instructed by crew leader, supervisor, or manager
• Snow removal work during the winter months
• Strong commitment to work safely
• Other duties as assigned
• Professionalarboricultureexperience preferred with tree climbing experience a bonus. However, we will train the right candidates with backgrounds in other services / trades
• US Driver's License required with ability to gain MI Chauffeur's license within 14 days of employment.CDL license preferred,CDL Training and Testing provided
• Prepare, operate, and perform basic maintenance on all tools and equipment related to position
