Job summary

VSP Vision is seeking an experienced IT architecture leader to develop business and application strategy in California. You will oversee design, development, enhancements, maintenance, and support of complex business systems while collaborating with data, product and IT teams.

You will lead architectural reviews, drive requirements for large implementations, manage vendors, and mentor staff. After-hours support may be required in a dynamic, global environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years business or systems analyst experience.
• Experience managing vendors to a contractual agreement with defined service levels.
• Experience managing stakeholder relationships.
• Experience planning, implementing and managing process change in an organization.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to translate complex technical concepts into understandable terms and able to tailor communication to audience.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Cognos, and/or SQL.
• Ability to work with and analyze large sets of data.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated ability to problem solve and troubleshoot complex systems or processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop business and application architecture strategy aligned with customer needs and processes.
• Provide project oversight and hands-on work in design, development, enhancements, maintenance, and support of business applications.
• Lead architectural reviews and decisions; guide requirement gathering for large implementations.
• Manage vendor relationships and provide coaching to team members.
• Serve as product owner in design, development, and implementation of integrated system solutions.
• Coordinate system changes to ensure data integrity and deliver high-quality results.
• Provide after-hours support as needed.
