King County seeks a Treasury Operations and Accounting Supervisor to lead the Banking, Accounting, and Revenue Collections Team. This role involves supervising treasury functions, ensuring excellent customer service, and leading process improvements within a collaborative environment focused on community service and operational excellence.
King County’s Finance and Business Operations Division (FBOD) is seeking a Treasury Operations and Accounting Supervisor to lead the Banking, Accounting, and Revenue Collections (BARC) Team. The Treasury Section is part of the larger Finance and Business Operations Division portfolio of county wide services. Operating as an internal service fund, FBOD’s vision is “Count on Us” reflecting the division’s deep-seated commitment to customer success, equity, employee engagement, resource stewardship, and operational excellence.
The Treasury sectionis responsible for performing the treasury functions of King County government and over 100 special purpose districts where King County serves as their ex-offico treasurer.
The BARC Team is responsible foradministering the master banking services contract, overseeing treasury management requests, performing cash management functions, warrant (check) redemption, and bank account reconciliation. This team is also responsible for collecting, depositing, reconciling, and distributing property tax payments, of over $7 billion dollars per year, that fund key public services within the geographic boundaries of King County. Treasury is also part of King County’s public-facing Customer Service Center where property tax and other payments are made in person.
