Job summary

Peoples Security Bank & Trust Company is seeking a Business Development Officer to drive new core deposit growth by onboarding treasury management clients, including commercial, nonprofit, and municipal accounts. You will partner with Relationship Managers and Treasury Support to deliver cash management solutions and expand the Bank’s deposit base.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
• Strong consultative selling and relationship-building abilities; demonstrated analytical capability.
• Experience in treasury management, commercial banking, or business development with proven deposit-growth results.

Responsibilities

• Proactively identify, prospect, and develop new treasury management relationships with a primary focus on operating deposits and liquidity balances.
• Build and manage a consistent pipeline of new deposit-focused opportunities.
• Conduct discovery meetings to understand client cash flow cycles, liquidity needs, and payment practices.
• Recommend and sell treasury management solutions including business checking, money market accounts, ACH, wires, remote deposit capture, and fraud mitigation services.
• Partner with Commercial Relationship Managers to support new relationship acquisition and deepen existing relationships.
• Coordinate onboarding and implementation with Treasury Support team.
• Achieve assigned annual goals for deposit growth, treasury revenue, and new client acquisition.
• Maintain accurate pipeline, activity, and forecasting data in the Bank’s CRM system.
• Represent the Bank at networking events, community organizations, and industry functions.
• Maintain working knowledge of treasury products, pricing, and competitive market trends.
• Actively represents the Bank in public relations and other related community activities.
