Job summary

Bennett Recruiting Services seeks an Analyst, Treasury and Deal Operations to join the finance/PE client team in Chicago. The role focuses on treasury and operations management for deal closing, cash reconciliation, and break resolution of investments across funds.

The candidate will analyze data integrity, automate repetitive tasks, and help scale the firm’s operational infrastructure while collaborating with a cross-functional team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., mathematics, statistics, computer science).
• 1–2 years of hands-on experience preferred.
• Strong Excel skills; familiarity with Python/SQL for automation is a plus.
• Understanding of private debt and middle-market loans is a plus.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assist in day-to-day reconciliation of positions and cash with fund administrators.
• Build detection logic to reduce reconciliation breaks and support audit readiness.
• Participate in process improvement to scale operations and reduce manual work.
• Develop reporting tools and dashboards to surface KPIs and data anomalies.
• Initiate wires for deal fundings and settlements with validated instructions.
• Support cash rebalancing and liquidity analytics across funds.
• Learn and execute day-to-day loan servicing workflows.
