Job summary

Mastercard is seeking a Senior/ Manager-level Manager to join Treasury Controllership in New York, partnering with Controllership, Treasury, Tax, Legal, and Finance to support complex treasury transactions under U.S. GAAP and SEC guidance.

The role focuses on advisory accounting for blockchain, digital payments, crypto assets, and evolving operating models, with emphasis on control design, SOX, and audit readiness.

Qualifications

• Strong technical accounting expertise with ability to translate complex issues into business guidance.
• Experience supporting treasury or corporate finance with governance and internal controls.
• CPA or CA designation required; public accounting background preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Provide accounting advisory support for treasury initiatives, including crypto assets and digital payments.
• Prepare technical accounting assessments and position memos under US GAAP and SEC guidance.
• Support SOX controls, audit readiness, and control design.
• Coordinate with external auditors and partner teams to ensure accurate reporting.
• Lead or support cross-functional process improvements and automation opportunities.
• Mentor others and manage priorities in a dynamic environment.
