Job summary

Mastercard is seeking a Manager, Treasury Controllership to support Corporate Treasury with a focus on Blockchain, Digital Payments, and treasury‑enabled initiatives. You will translate complex accounting into practical guidance and partner across Controllership, Treasury, Tax, Legal, and Finance.

The role requires CPA/CA credentials and experience in technical accounting at a public firm or large company, plus familiarity with crypto assets and evolving operating models.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• CPA or CA designation required.
• Senior Associate, Manager, or equivalent experience at a public accounting firm or large company in technical accounting, controllership, or treasury accounting.
• Experience with crypto assets, fiat‑backed stablecoins, digital payments, or related operating models preferred.
• Strong technical accounting research skills (FASB, SEC, AICPA).
• Ability to advise and influence leadership on complex accounting and controls.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Hyperion/Oracle/Reval a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide accounting advisory support for Corporate Treasury and treasury‑enabled initiatives (Blockchain, Digital Payments, crypto assets).
• Evaluate accounting implications of new operating models, custodial arrangements, fair value, classification and disclosures.
• Prepare technical accounting memos documenting U.S. GAAP and policy guidance.
• Support discussions with senior management and stakeholders on governance and control matters.
• Lead or contribute to internal control improvements and automation opportunities.
• Coordinate with external auditors on U.S. GAAP applications to treasury and digital assets.
• Assist with monthly/quarterly/ad hoc reporting and variance analyses.
• Collaborate across Treasury, Finance, Tax, Legal, and other teams on cross‑functional projects.
