Job summary

Komatsu Mining Corp. is seeking a detail-oriented Treasury Analyst to support North American treasury operations, including daily cash management, banking administration, insurance and risk management support, and compliance reporting.

This role emphasizes liquidity visibility, controlled payment processes, and collaboration with internal and external partners to strengthen treasury controls, analytics, and overall financial governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, economics, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to reconcile data and communicate findings clearly.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and financial data management; familiarity with banking portals, ERP systems, treasury workstations, or reporting tools.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and follow internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Cash Management & Liquidity Operations: Monitor and set daily cash positions; support accurate short-term cash visibility; coordinate bank activity review; and assist with funding decisions as needed.
• Payment Processing Support: Prepare, review, and coordinate wire and ACH activity in accordance with approval protocols and internal treasury procedures.
• Bank File & Data Uploads: Support proceeds upload processes and BAI file uploads for timely integration into treasury and accounting systems.
• Bank Fee Management: Review, analyze, and reconcile bank analysis fees; identify unusual charges; support cost-control opportunities.
• Bank Account Governance: Maintain the bank account inventory and documentation of authorized signers; assist with account openings and closures.
• Insurance Administration: Support insurance allocations, budgeting, invoicing, and coordination with insurance partners.
• Claims & Risk Support: Track insurance claims and document status for management review.
• Certificates & Filings: Manage certificates of insurance and state filings; respond to inquiries.
• Compliance Reporting: Support FBAR reporting and other treasury-related compliance activities.
• Reporting & Analytics: Prepare recurring treasury reports and conduct analysis to support cash, banking, insurance, and compliance activities.

Job Overview

Komatsu is seeking a detail-oriented Treasury Analyst to support North American treasury operations, including daily cash management, banking administration, insurance and risk management support, compliance reporting, and treasury analytics. This position plays a key role in maintaining accurate liquidity visibility, supporting controlled payment processes, and partnering with internal and external stakeholders to strengthen treasury operations.

• Insurance Administration: Support insurance allocations, including workers' compensation-related allocations; assist with insurance budgeting, invoice processing, and ongoing coordination with internal stakeholders and external insurance partners.
• Claims & Risk Support: Track insurance claims, maintain current status information, coordinate follow-up items, and support accurate documentation for management review.
• Certificates & Filings: Manage certificate of insurance requests, support state insurance filings, and respond to insurance-related inquiries with timely, accurate, and service-oriented communication.
• Compliance Reporting: Support FBAR reporting and other treasury-related compliance activities by gathering required bank account data, validating completeness, and maintaining appropriate documentation.
• Reporting & Analytics: Prepare recurring treasury reports, conduct analysis to support cash, banking, insurance, and compliance activities, and contribute to special projects that improve visibility, controls, and process efficiency.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Relevant experience in treasury, banking, accounting, finance operations, insurance administration, or corporate finance support.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to reconcile data, identify exceptions, and communicate findings clearly.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and financial data management; experience with banking portals, ERP systems, treasury workstations, or reporting tools is preferred.
• Ability to manage confidential information with discretion and follow established internal controls.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage recurring deadlines and multiple priorities.
