The World Bank Group in Washington, DC invites applications for a Financial Officer to support balance sheet management, ALM analysis, policy development, stakeholder engagement and governance reporting within the Treasury groups TRECS and TREAB.

The role requires a Master’s degree and at least five years of relevant experience, strong knowledge of derivatives and risk management, and excellent English writing and communication skills. Travel is desirable.

Qualificações

• Master’s degree in a relevant field and at least five years of relevant experience.
• Experience in ALM, financial policy, risk management, treasury, or capital markets; MDB experience desirable.
• Strong knowledge of derivatives, valuation, hedging, liquidity, funding, capital adequacy, and balance sheet risk.
• Excellent English writing and communication skills for management and governance audiences.

Responsabilidades

• Support the analysis, structuring, and execution of derivatives for risk management, funding, liquidity, and balance sheet objectives.
• Maintain relationships with banks, underwriters, counterparties, shareholders, rating agencies, and other capital markets stakeholders.
• Conduct ALM analysis, including valuation, risk measurement, capital, liquidity, ratings, and scenario assessments.
• Work across WBG units to structure and implement financial solutions consistent with policy and risk parameters.
• Contribute to ALM, funding, liquidity, financial sustainability, and governance papers.
• Support cross-functional development of financial products, analytical frameworks, and policy responses.
• Prepare clear and timely reports, briefings, presentations, and stakeholder responses.
• Support knowledge sharing, process improvements, and other team priorities.
