The World Bank Group Treasury, via TREOP and the Quantitative Solutions and Analytics team (TREQA), seeks an Investment Officer to advance investment guideline monitoring, risk analytics, and client reporting. You will contribute to projects implementing systems and tools for post-trade compliance and portfolio management.

Ideal candidates have a Master’s degree with 5 years in finance/investments, strong Python skills, and deep knowledge of Murex and Bloomberg.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree (or equivalent) in finance, engineering, data science, mathematics or related discipline and 5 years of relevant work experience in finance and investments.
• Expertise and proven experience with investment compliance and/or risk management of fixed income portfolios, including strong knowledge of fixed income instruments, financial derivatives, risk measurement, and valuation.
• Proven quantitative modeling skills with substantial programming experience in Python (or similar programming language). Data management experience, including data cleansing, transformation, and validation is desired.
• Deep knowledge and experiences with Murex (particularly the Murex Limits & Compliance module), Bloomberg (PORT/AIM/MARS) is required.
• Experience in designing, deploying, and maintaining AI models and agents in the investment management realm is a strong plus.
• Demonstrated professional leadership and ability to coach and mentor junior staff, strong interpersonal skills and ethics.
• Excellent communication skills -- both verbal and written.

Responsabilités

• Design, develop, and implement methodologies, policies, and procedures for investment compliance and risk analytics.
• Lead projects like post-trade compliance system implementations (e.g., Murex) for Project TANGO.
• Provide analytical leadership in investment guideline monitoring, rule development, and deliverable validation.
• Interpret and revise investment guidelines; propose improvements for systematic monitoring.
• Produce and distribute investment reports; communicate with stakeholders and clients as needed.
• Develop analytical tools to support portfolio managers in compliance, risk, rebalancing, and reporting.
• Mentor and coach junior team members and stay updated with industry best practices.
