Job summary

Harrison, Walker & Harper in Texas is seeking a Utility Superintendent to oversee underground utility construction projects. You will plan, coordinate, and supervise field operations, ensuring work is safe, on schedule, within budget, and compliant with specifications and regulations.

You will lead crews, interact with project managers, foremen, subcontractors, inspectors, and clients to drive successful project execution.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lay sewer, water & storm drains or operate equipment at this position.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee daily field operations for underground utility construction projects.
• Supervise utility foremen, operators, laborers, and subcontractors.
• Plan daily and weekly work activities to maximize productivity and meet project schedules.
• Review project plans, specifications, utility drawings, and contract documents prior to and throughout construction.
• Coordinate manpower, equipment, materials, and subcontractors to ensure efficient workflow.
• Monitor project progress and proactively identify scheduling conflicts or potential delays.
• Conduct daily safety meetings and ensure compliance with OSHA, company safety policies, and client safety requirements.
• Ensure all work meets project specifications, quality standards, and applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
