Gentle Dental is seeking an experienced Orthodontic Treatment Coordinator to guide patients from initial consultation through treatment acceptance and scheduling across multiple Oregon locations. You will work with orthodontists and clinical teams to explain treatment plans, timelines, insurance, and financing options in a patient-first environment.

The role emphasizes building trust, effective communication, and follow-through to move patients toward treatment starts.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of orthodontic experience.

Orthodontic Treatment Coordinator – Gentle Dental

$1,000 Signing Bonus!
Full-Time | $24–$29 per Hour DOE | 4-Day Workweek

Locations: Keizer, Sherwood, Woodburn & Wilsonville

We are looking for an experienced, motivated Orthodontic Treatment Coordinator who combines exceptional patient service with strong communication, relationship-building, and treatment presentation skills.

About the Role

As an Orthodontic Treatment Coordinator , you will guide patients and families from their initial orthodontic consultation through treatment acceptance and scheduling.

You'll partner closely with our orthodontists and clinical teams to help patients understand their recommended treatment, expected timeline, insurance benefits, costs, financing, and payment options. Your ability to build trust, communicate value, and follow through will help patients overcome barriers to care and confidently move forward with treatment.

This position supports multiple Gentle Dental locations in the greater Portland and Salem area and offers a full-time, four-day workweek: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.

What You'll Do

• Create an exceptional orthodontic consultation experience for patients and families
• Build strong relationships with patients and parents while understanding their goals, questions, and concerns
• Partner with the orthodontist to present recommended treatment plans clearly and confidently
• Explain orthodontic treatment options, timelines, expectations, and next steps
• Present treatment fees, insurance benefits, financing, and available payment options
• Help patients and families find solutions to financial, scheduling, and other barriers to treatment
• Establish treatment schedules and coordinate orthodontic start appointments
• Follow up consistently with patients who have completed consultations but have not yet started treatment
• Support strong case acceptance and orthodontic treatment starts while maintaining a patient-first approach
• Enter and maintain accurate treatment plans and patient information in the practice management system
• Monitor patient treatment progress and communicate relevant updates to the orthodontist and clinical team
• Maintain working knowledge of insurance benefits, exclusions, limitations, and requirements
• Coordinate insurance predeterminations and communicate patient financial responsibility
• Collaborate with orthodontists, clinical teams, and office leadership to achieve patient care and practice goals

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum of 1 year of orthodontic experience
• 1+ years of dental, medical, or related front office experience
• Previous treatment coordination experience strongly preferred
• Experience presenting treatment plans and discussing costs with patients and families
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills
• Confidence discussing treatment fees, insurance benefits, financing, and payment options
• Strong follow-up skills and the ability to guide patients through the decision-making process
• Excellent organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Comfortable working across multiple office locations
• Computer proficiency required; QSI experience is a plus
• Bilingual skills are a plus
• A positive, patient-focused, and results-oriented approach

Compensation

$24–$29 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications

Plus a $1,000 Signing Bonus!

Relevant orthodontic experience, treatment coordination experience, and demonstrated treatment presentation skills may influence starting pay.
