Qualifications

• CPI certification or willingness to complete training

Responsibilities

• Provide educational services to visually impaired students ages 3 to 21
• Complete functional vision assessments and written reports
• Participate in IEP meetings and assist the team in determining education needs related to vision
• Recommend specialized materials, equipment, and technology to meet the students’ educational needs
• Provide training on materials, equipment, and technology to students and staff
• Communicate and plan with ESY teachers about instruction modifications
• Adapt materials for visually impaired students
• Participate in ESY meetings with ESY teachers
• Communicate with ESY Coordinators
• Other duties as assigned
