Evanston/Skokie School District 65 is seeking a Teacher of Students Who Are Blind or Visually Impaired (Itinerant) to support students with visual impairments through specialized instruction and adaptive materials at multiple sites.

You will develop IEP goals, determine instructional methods, and conduct functional vision assessments with Braille, large print and technology tools, while mentoring staff and families.

Qualifications

• Illinois Professional Educator License with TVI endorsement.
• Ability to travel between school sites.
• Experience working with children with multiple impairments.
• Experience working as part of a team.
• Experience with school-age children.

Responsabilités

• Provide specialized instruction for students with visual impairments using Braille, large print and technology devices.
• Develop and modify instructional plans and materials to meet IEP goals.
• Conduct functional vision/learning media assessments and interpret results.
• Mentor and advocate for students and families.
