Job summary

Hana Brands seeks a Traveling Temp Sushi and Fresh Foods Chef to operate in a live sushi bar, handling fish, produce and rice with strict food safety. This temporary role requires independent work, fast adaptation to new kiosks, and minimizing waste while maintaining quality.

Two+ years in food handling with sushi rolling or a culinary degree are required. Valid food handler’s card and strong English communication are also expected. Travel and hotel benefits accompany this assignment.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of food handling experience.
• Excellent knife skills for sashimi and garnish.
• English communication well enough to take orders and follow safety instructions.
• Ability to work under pressure and independently in a kiosk environment.
• Willingness to work the full assignment and align with company mission.

Responsibilities

• Expert in cutting, slicing and filleting different types of fish, vegetables, and produce.
• Prepare traditional Japanese sushi rice to spec and ensure quality, portion size and presentation.
• Create sushi and other fresh food items per company guidelines and safety standards.
• Manage par levels and prevent over-production while ensuring stock is full.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and prevent food contamination.
• Greet customers and communicate to ensure they feel valued.
