Job summary

Ryan Companies Inc. in Tampa is seeking a Traveling Superintendent responsible for coordinating the work of Ryan employees, subcontractors and project management to complete on time and on budget while enforcing safety programs on the jobsite.

You will develop site-specific safety plans, manage subcontractors, track CPM schedules, assist with budget and procurement, ensure quality control, document daily activities, and lead required meetings.

Qualifications

• Post high school education or equivalent in the construction field.
• Pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test and subsequent random and post-accident drug and alcohol testing.
• Ability to read and comprehend blueprints and plans and specifications and give proper direction to project personnel.

Responsibilities

• Develop a site-specific safety program and administer project safety per Ryan safety policies and procedures and develop a job specific Job Safety/Hazard Analysis.
• Manage subcontractors in the performance of their work per contract.
• Develop and understand a CPM computer-generated schedule and be able to track that schedule.
• Assist in the development and review of the overall construction budget and manage the project within that budget.
• Assist with material procurement.
• Establish and monitor the Quality Control program for the project.
• Daily documentation and file and print management.
• Hold, prepare, and document required meetings.
