Job summary

Turner Construction Company in Monroe, LA seeks a Superintendent experienced in Self-Perform Operations to plan, lead, and coordinate drywall and related trades on complex projects. You will supervise labor, manage production, safety, and quality, and work with foremen to align crew staffing with schedule and budget.

This role requires 3+ years in interior systems construction, a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, strong Lean/Last Planner skills, and proficiency with schedule and cost control.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Superintendent for interior systems.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• In-depth knowledge of interior systems and related tools and equipment.
• Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings and specs.
• Proficient in project management, scheduling, and cost control.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, forecast, lead, direct, and coordinate Self-Perform Operations staff, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Sequence work to meet project schedule and integrate SPO into the schedule.
• Monitor progress, productivity, and take-off work; report at production meetings.
• Hire/terminate trade labor decisions and maintain staffing plans.
• Develop and implement SPO safety plans in compliance with standards.
• Resolve field issues with Owners, Architects, Engineers and others.
• Manage monthly estimates, payrolls, material invoices, and subcontractor payments.
• Assist with bidding and review productivity for implementation.
• Utilize lean methods such as Last Planner System for scheduling.
