We are seeking a Traveling Superintendent to lead commercial construction projects across the Southeast, with an initial assignment in Knoxville, Tennessee. This role is ideal for a field leader with commercial construction experience, particularly in ground-up and renovation/upfit projects within sectors such as retail, banking, medical, and restaurant construction.

Description

• Oversee daily commercial construction activities across assigned project sites in Western North Carolina.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and site teams to keep work aligned with project schedules.
• Monitor site progress and address day-to-day construction issues to maintain forward momentum.
• Review completed work for quality and alignment with project plans and specifications.
• Maintain safe, orderly job sites and reinforce required site safety practices.
• Communicate project updates, site needs, and schedule changes with construction stakeholders.
• Plan travel between active project locations and maintain consistent site coverage.
• Document field activity, progress, and items requiring follow-up throughout each project.

Profile

• Superintendent experience in commercial construction.
• Ground-up construction experience preferred; renovation/upfit experience also considered.
• Background managing projects such as banks, retail, restaurants, medical facilities, or similar commercial developments.
• Ability and willingness to travel extensively throughout the Southeast.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working with construction management software platforms (Procore or similar preferred).
• Scheduling experience using Microsoft Project or comparable scheduling tools.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and project execution.

Job Offer

• $80,000-$90,000 base salary for candidates focused on renovation/upfit projects.
• $90,000-$100,000 base salary for candidates with strong ground-up construction experience.
