Job summary

InHouse Talent Group seeks an experienced Superintendent to oversee field operations on commercial construction projects in San Francisco and the Bay Area. The role focuses on coordinating subcontractors, maintaining schedules, and promoting a safe, efficient jobsite that adheres to plans and specs.

The ideal candidate has strong leadership, excellent communication, and a hands-on problem-solving approach, with ownership of the jobsite and ability to keep work moving.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Superintendent role.
• Minimum of 5 years of commercial ground-up experience.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and communicate clearly with crews and subcontractors.
• Procore experience preferred, or the ability to learn quickly.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work outdoors, and travel to sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead onsite crews and subcontractors to ensure safety, quality, and schedule.
• Develop and maintain the project schedule, including two-week look-ahead plans.
• Coordinate materials, equipment deliveries, inspections, and daily sequencing.
• Enforce safety requirements and hold subcontractors accountable for compliance.
• Review drawings and RFIs, identify conflicts, and communicate issues early.
• Document daily site activity and provide updates to the Project Manager.
• Lead jobsite meetings and oversee punch list completion and closeout.

We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee day-to-day field operations on commercial construction projects in San Francisco and the Bay Area. This position is responsible for coordinating subcontractors, maintaining project schedules, promoting a clean and safe jobsite, and ensuring all work meets project plans and specifications.

The ideal candidate brings strong communication skills, onsite leadership, and a hands‑on approach to problem‑solving. You must be able to take ownership of the jobsite and keep work moving efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead onsite crews and subcontractors to ensure work is completed safely, correctly, and on schedule.
• Develop and maintain the project schedule, including updated two-week look-ahead plans.
• Coordinate materials, equipment deliveries, inspections, and daily work sequencing.
• Enforce jobsite safety requirements and hold subcontractors accountable for compliance.
• Review drawings and RFIs, identify conflicts, and communicate issues early.
• Document daily jobsite activity and provide regular updates to the Project Manager.
• Lead jobsite meetings and oversee progress through punch list completion and project closeout.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Superintendent role.
• Minimum of 5 years of commercial ground-up experience
• Strong knowledge of construction means and methods.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and communicate clearly with crews and subcontractors.
• Procore experience preferred, or the ability to learn quickly.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Ability to perform jobsite duties, including lifting up to 50 lbs., working outdoors, bending, kneeling, climbing, standing for extended periods, and using hand tools.
• Valid California driver’s license, dependable transportation, and willingness to travel to project sites.

Annual salary: $110,000-$140,000, with competitive base pay based on verified experience. Quarterly bonus
