Job summary

Energy Erectors, Inc. (EEI) seeks a Substation Equipment Operator to support construction of new substations and upgrades. Travel across the state is required, with per diem provided where applicable.

You will assist in installing transformers, bus structures, switchgear, and related materials, while working with a range of heavy equipment and maintaining safety on energized systems. This role involves varied outdoor environments and strict safety practices.

Qualifications

• Obtain and maintain a valid State Class C driver’s license.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Ability to carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work on ladders and hydraulic lifts.
• Ability to learn how to operate construction equipment and use hand tools.
• Ability to work within a physically demanding work environment.
• Physical activity including standing, walking, kneeling, bending, crouching, reaching, climbing.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• OSHA 10.

Responsibilities

• Work safely while assisting in new/existing construction tasks such as demolition, site prep, trenching, and substation work.
• Assist with installing transformer banks, bus structures, switchgear, lines, and related substation materials.
• Operate with equipment like man baskets, skid steers, shovels, compactors, and back hoes.
• Work around energized high voltage systems with caution.
• Maintain company tools in good working order.
• Comply with the Company’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
